TETRA CORPORATION is a unique organization specializing in a wide variety of real estate related business. For example, our team concentrates on land acquisition with partnering builders and residential land development throughout Virginia and Delaware. Additionally, our team specializes in full service general brokerage in Virginia and Delaware for those buying and or selling residential real estate.

Our History

Tetra Corporation was founded in 1978 by Clark L. Massie, a licensed Real Estate Agent since 1963. He has worked with a variety of Real Estate firms including Gulf Reston, Inc. (one of the early development companies of Reston). In 1971, he formed his own company specializing in New Home Sales.

In 1978, Mr. Massie began diversifying, including the sale of land to builders and acquiring Residential and Commercial properties for development. He has been involved in the rezoning, engineering, and development of several hundred residential lots and over 250,000 square feet of office development. Mr. Massie was involved with “The Pond”, a forty-eight thousand square foot office complex that won the 1989 Fairfax County Exceptional Design award in the category of commercial office.

Mr. Massie has proudly been involved in numerous organizations including the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Chairman from 1993-1994 and served as President of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) in 2001. He has also been appointed to serve on several Task Forces established by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.

I have been a licensed Real Estate Agent in Virginia since 2007 and licensed in Delaware since 2023. After retiring from law enforcement after 27 years, I came to Tetra full-time. My time and energy have been primarily focused on maintaining the level of excellence that this family business has been based on and working to move us forward. Land development is an exciting pursuit, searching for and finding the next project is what keeps us motivated.

My name is Dean Rocco, I’m a Real Estate Agent with Tetra Corporation. I enjoy employment with this organization due to their ethical and moral standing to uphold the best service to our clients. Family means a great deal to Tetra Corporation, our clients are treated as close family. I have years of professional and knowledgeable experience working in this field, many of my clients are first responders in the Northern Virginia area. Whether selling or buying your home satisfaction means a great deal to our agency. While working with me you’ll notice I’m energetic, enthusiastic, and spirited about selling or locating your home. I care! I worked in nursing homes for 25 years back in New York and I believe this helped me become the Real Estate Agent I am today. I would sit with a resident and learn what they liked, what they disliked, where they came from, and where they would like to be. We would laugh and yes we would cry, but that person I was sitting with knew I cared. Although I left the nursing home several years ago I remember stories of when "I bought my first home" or how they would light up as they showed me a picture and said, "I taught my daughter to ride a bike in that driveway". That sense of pride, that gleam in their eye is what every person should be able to feel. I want to help people achieve that.
